I promise...

I promise to start updating this thing regularly. Mostly because I desperately miss blogging... it's so wonderful and I love being able to share what's going on in my life.

I have so many photos, encouragement, growth and joy to share. Just give me time. :)

I'll leave you with a few photos of my friend Caitlin who I had the privilege of shooting a photo shoot of her and her violin. She is so wonderful and talented and I love the way the photos came out. Hope you enjoy!

State fair of TEXAS

One of my most favorite people in the world, Steph, came to visit me in Texas all the way from New York! I met her during my summer spent in Boston, and she changed my heart forever. I was so excited to share a bit of my life with her, even if it was just for four days. I miss her terribly already. We got to go to the state fair of Texas -- and she even had her first corndog! And yes, our trip did completely revolve around food.

Steph got to experience Yogurt Story!

We had a dance party in Kels' room!

Nathan owns a fryer. Yep. He made donuts at our house. Oh, and I called the fryer his girlfriend. hehe.

State Fair tickets -- FOR FOOOOOD!

First CORNDOG!

Love these girls with all my heart.

Brandon has never been happier.

Kels is beautiful.

Little Mayc-mayc...

Yikes.

So much to say...

hello dear friends.

it's been far too long.

so much has happened. so much growth, so many sweet memories made this summer and so much change brought on by a new school year. my senior year.

i have so much to share -- but for now, i will just say:
1) my summer spent in Boston was beautiful. the surroundings, the people, the experience... all so wonderful.
2) this Fall has brought on big changes. i live in a beautiful house with three beautiful girls (beautiful from the inside and out). it is a tremendous blessing to be immersed in a community of girls who are just so in love with the Lord and want nothing more but to glorify Him in all they do. what an inspiration, what a blessing.
3) our home church movement, SOMA (greek for Body, as in we are body of Christ, being the Church) has strong direction and so much in store. thank you Jesus.

i have many more stories and photos to share, just be patient with me. :)

my beautiful friend, Steph, who I met in Boston. she changed my life and my heart forever :) i miss her every day.

my wonderful campers from the Boston Ballet who taught me so much this summer and filled me with so much joy. they are all so stunning and talented and i miss them terribly.

Dearest friends!

I finally got to see some of my dearest friends last week (we've all been in different cities since it's summer time). We had so much fun together and I miss them all terribly already...

My Maycie! I miss her SO! She's going to Europe for 3 weeks very soon! I am so excited for her!... and even more excited to live with her (and Kelsey/Liz!!!)

p.s. I head to Boston for my counselor job early Sunday morning. The excitement and nervousness is starting to set in. Eek! :)

Photography Website

SO I made Brandon and me a website, so that we may start getting more photography gigs. We've done two so far (a family reunion and a reception party) and really enjoyed both! It's just so fun to go and capture these memorable moments for people. Plus, we work really well together... yay for best friends! This is such a wonderful opportunity for us, especially while we are in school.

Check out the website, it's simple, but working -- we have 5 weddings lined up for the Fall already: http://www.kristianeandbrandon.com

What do you think?

I'll leave you with a photo of Brandon and Maycie, two of my closest friends.
I know, I know... I have pretty friends. :)

WE FOUND A HOUSE!

So me and my wonderful future housemates have been on a house search for months... and we finally found the house that we are going to rent out! It's just perfect. As soon as we walked in we just knew it was for us! It's so warm and inviting... we can't wait to make memories in it. :)

It was the last house on our house-visiting search, and having only been on the market for two days, we were the first to see it... and first to apply for it. It worked so perfectly!

p.s. Have I mentioned how blessed I am to be living with some of the most compassionate, kind-hearted, hilarious and God-filled girls I know...

My girls! (insert Kelsey where Maycie's arm is)

So, the furniture doesn't stay... but that's okay, we have big plans for this house! Eek!

Sweet Summer Day!

I've only been away from my friends for less than 2 weeks and I already desperately miss everyone. I got to see a handful of them to celebrate Summer's birthday on Wednesday (minus little Miss Maycie, why does she have to live 6 hours away?!).

Shea is awesome and put together a surprise party for Summer. We definitely surprised her... she cried (good tears!) when we all popped out and surprised her after work. It was precious. I just love her so much and am so thankful for all the sunshine she brings to our lives!

The gang.

Summer and Shea, the sweetest couple I know.

She's excited!

Check out Justin's game-face: this is serious business.

Nothing else to do? Let's go to the park!

They have Peter Pan shadows!

Dizzy faces!

I love Summer; the person and the season.

Changes.

Today is move-out day at Bruce Hall, which has been my home for the past two years. It's a bittersweet goodbye. Packing away all my things is very surreal. I have grown so much here and have made the most amazing and life-changing friendships I could have ever asked for. Being a RA here has shaped me to become a leader, the kind of leader filled with compassion for people. I've always been so inspired by all the people who live here and I will desperately miss the creative atmosphere of this dorm. It's time for a change, but I know that Bruce will always have a piece of my heart.
