Sweet Films

I am such a sucker for movie trailers... these two new films coming out look absolutely sweet and wonderful. I can't wait to see them. Especially since I just adore Michael Cera oh-s0-much.

If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.

Christ lives in me.

Jesus Christ is the atonement for all my sins. I am covered in grace. I became justified, purified, sanctified and redeemed in Him. Any feelings of shame, guilt and insecurities are abolished… and in that I am free. That is real, raw, life-altering and beautiful freedom that only comes from knowing and following Christ…

Hearing testimonies from my brothers and sisters in Christ is so moving to me. It gives me the courage to want to share my testimony with people, as it is the best way to express what the love of Christ can do in someone’s life… which is bring them to life.

This website is filled with personal testimonies of people who’s lives were altered by coming to personally know Christ: iamsecond.com

"I am second
is a movement where significance in life is a shared value among people of all kinds. Actors. Musicians. Business leaders. Your next-door neighbor. People just like you. Their authentic stories here on iamsecond.com provide insight into dealing with typical struggles of everyday living. You’ll meet people who overcame destructive lifestyles. Plus you’ll discover those who’ve tried to go it alone and have failed, yet still found a life full of hope, peace, and fulfillment."

We are His portion,
and He is our prize...
Drawn to redemption
by the grace in His eyes.

If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.

Obsession...

Something truly spectacular has happened to the town of Denton, and that is.... YOGURT STORY. This new place is absolutely adorable and absolutely delicious! Self-served real frozen yogurt, with fresh fruit toppings as well as candy toppings to choose from... all at only 35 cents an ounce. It is a great thing, but a scary thing... me and Maycie are guilty of going three days in a row... oh boy. We're in trouble.

Never is an awfully long time...

Let me just start off by saying that story of Peter Pan has always been and will always be one of my favorite stories of all time. The whimsical nature of the story, as well as the lovely and sweet characters are something that has always stayed with me... so you can imagine how excited I was to see this post by A Cup of Jo about how artist Merrilee threw a Peter Pan birthday party for her little boy.

Check out these awesome photos:

The illustration she created for the invitations.

Lovely cupcakes.

How inspiring! So fun. I love the freedom and fun that comes with parties for children... delightful. :)

I will be staying in a house next year (my senior year -- whoa) with my close girlfriends from school and I can't wait to decorate, cook dinners and entertain! :)

Birthdays galore!

I am currently trying my best to resist falling asleep in my room right now, as I have my environmental science lab in an hour... therefore, I will post photos from Kip and Travis' birthdays gatherings, which were both on Saturday, mind you. Happy 21st to Kip and 20th to Travis... I love you both very much. It was also my darling Brittany's birthday on Thursday, so happy 19th birthday to you Brittany-booboo!

Quote from Brandon: "We all actually look good in this picture! When does that ever happen?!"

Travis and his weird cake. :)

I just love this picture of Nacho.

p.s. I am SO excited... the average temperature in Boston for the month of June is 67.2 and in July it is 72.7... yesss! Oh, and in Texas the average summer temperature is 96.... ha!

Girl's Night

Last Friday our home church girls finally had our girl's night (take that men's accountability!)... and it was a night full of two of my favorite things: laughter and food.

We went to La Madeleine's for dinner and it was so delicious, as always.

Summer, Hailey and Liz being too cute.

My pretty dessert.

I love my girls.

Signs

I saw this wonderful short film on Le Love and thought I'd share.

So sweet.
