Wishes and Reality

If I had it my way I would just travel the world with a film camera and the task of finding the best donut on earth.

Yes, that would be perfect.

But for now I have my mind set on running. Yes, you heard right... running. Me. The girl who hates running. Who dramatically and openly despises running. The girl who also secretly envies those runners in the heat of Texas, with their sculpted legs and determined faces.... I have started running, with a big push from my ohsocool-runner of a best friend Maycie. This is week one and my legs sting and burn, and getting up at 6:30 am is a serious bummer, but I'm excited. And scared. Oh, and supposedly going to be able to run a half marathon by the end of February. Ha. Ha. Ha..... make that very scared.

It's my birthday weekend and I'll be headed to Nathan's parents house (today is his birthday!) for dinner, relaxation (I really love his family, they are such a blessing) and trip to Canton for the ultimate flea market experience. Here's to hoping I find pretty things!

Yum... I want to try a donut from every country I visit by the end of my life. Don't judge me.

These things I know...

Let me just say that I am so very blessed to be dating this amazing man, who is my best friend and everything I could ask for and more. A big thank you to Nathan for fixing things, keeping me level-headed, making me laugh, and just loving me.

He makes my heart ache with joy in the best and most beautiful way possible.

I also know these things...

- It is far too hot outside.

- Inception was a very good film.

- I have the most spoiled cat in the world. He is currently snubbing me for keeping him from seeing a hurt little kitten Justin brought over.

- I just really, really love photography.

- School districts take too long to get back to substitute teacher applicants.

- God is so good and so faithful.

I got to take band photos for my sweet friends Caitlin and Kaela a couple of months ago. They are super talented ladies and have a band called CherryHill. They are both so beautiful from the inside and out and I just wanted to share some of my favorites. (Brandon also took photos with me that day -- so fun!)

Graduation...

Hmm, it seems in my last post that I forgot to mention a pretty big event in my life that recently happened... I GRADUATED COLLEGE! Yep, done-ZO with my undergraduate career! Granted I am currently in the process of getting my teaching certificate, but it is such a relief to be done with school! A lot of other awesome friends of mine also graduated this year and I was lucky enough to get to take their graduation portraits, and I'm going to share my favorites in this post:

It's about time for an update!

I have said it time and time again -- but I am truly sorry for not updating for so long! It breaks my heart because I am an avid blog reader AND I have so many great things to share! Especially great photo shoots I have done!

I took my second engagement photos a few weeks ago of an awesomely sweet couple named Lizzie and Isaiah, and they were featured on the ever-so-cool Hi Fi Weddings!
